Winter White Tour 2017 Featuring Snails

Snails, undeniably the coolest gastropods, are known for their slimy underside and tough shells. More recently, though, the name of these grimy creatures has taken on a new meaning—one synonymous with filthy drops and a unique sound known as “vomitstep.” That’s because Canadian DJ Frédérik Durand has adopted the moniker “SNAILS,” under which he’s released some of the most innovative bass music in recent years. Though he’s been producing since 2012, his career was perhaps launched in 2014, when Jack Ü (Skrillex and Diplo) dropped his track “Wild” at Ultra Music Festival. Later that year, he released the track on OWSLA, and ended up being the only producer featured on Jack Ü’s debut album. Ever since, he’s been building his fanbase, the VOMITSQUAD, on the basis of his guttural synths, collaborating with the likes of Big Gigantic, Flux Pavilion, and NGHTMRE.

SNAILS just recently released his debut album, “The Shell,” which builds upon his unique vomitstep sound, and, as Billboard describes it, contains plenty of “drops so hard, you’re gonna black out.” Check the album out on his Soundcloud here:

To celebrate the release of this album, he is currently in the midst of a US tour dubbed “The Shell Tour,” during which he’ll be visiting Albany on December 26th, and Worcester on December 27th as a part of our Winter White Tour. Both tour stops will feature Funtcase and Boogie T, as well as a custom stage with 150,000 watts of PK sound. Check out some footage of the tour here:
